Biography
Seamstress, Modeler, Decorative Textile Seamstress and Trainer.
After many years of activity, carpal tunnel syndrome forced me to stop to recover my hand. In that time I chose to make small and different pieces. With the arrival of the pandemic, in addition to fabrics, I also decided to paint glass and canvas. I participated in the last three Coruche Biennials, in the exhibitions Trajetos - Sociedade Criatividade e Igualdade (years 2018, 2019, 2020), in the Ficor 2018 parade with two combined works, currently in exibition at the Cork Oak and Cork Observatory.
The techniques used in glass paintings are prime, 1st ink, ink with the details and varnish.
The pieces of fabric are all made by me, in addition to the painting that is often direct on the fabric. They are washable.
The pieces with cork are also washable.
Along with crafts I have two books published.
My inspiration is focused on the gardens existing in all the houses of the moor, where I live, in a mixture of flowers, fruits and smelling and country flowers.
In the land that is the world capital of cork, making crafts with cork is just integration into the environment.
